Raising Youth Voices

Belonging Brant is calling on the youth.

Maichina Veri, August 4, 2022 // Brantford, Ontario

A new community group is forming in Brantford and Brant County for youth ages 14 to 29. Meeting the second Tuesday of every month at the Doug Snooks Community Centre from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., this group aims to raise the voices of the area’s young minds. Raising Youth Voices is in the early stages of development and is focusing on creating, forming and molding its foundation alongside the support of peer mentors.

At this time, the group is asking these questions: What do you want to see more of in your community? What makes you feel heard? What changes does your community need?

New members and ideas are welcomed. For more information, email Belonging Brant at belongingbrant@gmail.com. You can also find them on Facebook HERE and on their website HERE.

This group is brought you by Belonging Brant, in partnership with NPAAMB Indigenous Youth Employment and Training, Laurier Students’ Public Interest Research Group, Youth Opportunities Fund and Ontario Trillium Foundation.
